New Eden launches a recovery ministry

John had already been leading CR Inside (volunteering in prison and jails) for over a year when Pastor Franklin Gilliam approached us about starting up a “recovery ministry” at our church, New Eden Fellowship (NEF). I had just begun going into the prison to teach bible studies and provide spiritual counseling to the female inmates while sharing my personal testimony of hurts, addiction and jail life, so this new oppor-tunity came natural to us. At the start of CR at NEF in December 2013, we had other people show interest in assisting us in this ministry because they had similar struggles.
